Operating within a specific budget, I was tasked with creating column wraps, print and digital banners, wayfinding, floor clings, animated signage, back drops, and much more to create TCEA's yearly Convention and Exposition!
The Approach
The big challenge each year creating the TCEA Convention brand is sticking to TCEA's blue, navy, yellow, and red brand colors while also not using any kind of educational photos and illustrations like people, computers, laptop, pencils, and lightbulbs. With that, I came up with abstract geometric textures and the idea of polygons as energetic, future thinking individuals, exploring and convening to a place where educators could thrive.
On top of designing for our yearly convention, we were tasked with manning stations, helping attendees with any manner of troubleshooting and few instances of photography for the event.

I also made a variety of four color T-shirts and badges with custom lanyards for our main convention and other smaller events.
A variety of social graphics and web banners for other TCEA brands with their own identities I helped work on, or created from the ground up.
tcea.org redesign
Web design
About a year into my time at TCEA I was tasked with redesigning the main organization website using DIVI for WordPress. Since I was tasked with TCEA's yearly Convention and Exposition branding and website, while also designing anything and everything for our smaller events, I was given help in this massive undertaking. With my supervisors help and creative direction, we were able to re-design the current website into what you see today.

Key takeaway
We were all proud of having a new organization website that looked and functioned better than previous, I feel that by using a limited web builder like DIVI, we made a product that works for a growing organization with courses, educational resources, webinars, blogs, and more.

Not long after starting, I was tasked with making animations for IMAG screens and other animated touch points as needed. The first being a design for an exhibit hall entrance

This was one of a few animated IMAG screens for featured presenters during the convention.
This looping videos would play in the background while presenters would speak on stage about a variety of topics regarding educational technology, and topics regarding
teaching as a whole.

When featured presenters had their own materials to present on stage, we would switch to less busy screens and provide two spots for PIP (picture-in-picture) on top of the background animations.
